The next generation of Bogart fans?
I remember a time not too long ago when we had a handful of younger people here, people in their teens to early twenties. Since most of the rest of the usual suspects are in their 40s, 50s, 60s and beyond, the youngsters stood in strong contrast and made it clear that Bogie's appeal lives on.
It occurs to me that those people have stopped posting and we haven't had any newcomers in that age range in quite some time. Granted that overall use of the Bogie Board has dropped in recent years, owing in no small part to the difficulty some people encountered in trying to set up a User Profile before they were able to post (an anti-spam measure I'm delighted is no longer necessary since the upgrade has locked out the spambots) and the site as a whole gets half the visitors it did in its heyday, I still wonder, is it the site itself, or has Bogie's appeal been waning? Is his fan base dying out, or can we expect to see a resurgence? What do you think?
